Registration Numbers

Criteria for acceptance of UK registration numbers (including Northern Irish ones) into an H&H auction:

(1) The registration number must have been issued prior to the introduction of suffix or prefix dating letters (circa 1963)

(2) We will accept a reserve on a registration number that comprises

(a) Up to two letters followed or preceded by up to four numbers or

(b) three letters followed or preceded by up to two numerals.

(3) Registration numbers comprising three letters and three numerals will be accepted but only if offered for sale without reserve.

Entry Fee: £50 per registration number

Vendor’s Commission: 10% per lot subject to a minimum charge of £50

Buyer’s Premium: 10% per lot subject to a minimum charge of £50

All charges quoted are subject to VAT.  

Auction Sales

The majority of our auctions are held at The Pavilion Gardens, Buxton in Derbyshire. Though, we also conduct sales at Race Retro - The International Motor Sport Show, Stoneleigh (Warwickshire) and at The Haynes International Motor Museum, Sparkford (Somerset).
